2010-2011 Available Scholarships*

The Coca-Cola Scholarship Program

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Current high school senior attending school in the US
  • US Citizens, Nationals, Permanent Residents; Temporary Residents (in a legalization program); Refugees; Asylees; Cuban-Haitian Entrants; or Humanitarian Paroles
  • Seniors anticipating completion of high school diploma during the academic year in which application is made
  • Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited US postsecondary institution
  • Have a minimum 3.0 GPA at the end of junior year in high school

The Ron Brown Scholar Program

Eligibility Requirements:

  • African American high school senior
  • Excel academically
  • Exceptional leadership potential
  • Community service activities
  • Financial need

Award: $10,000 annually for 4 years

Deadlines:
November 1, 2010 - application will be considered for Ron Brown Scholarship and forwarded to a select number of additional scholarships
January 9, 2011 - considered for Ron Brown Scholar Program only

Ronald McDonald Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

  • High school senior
  • Eligible to attend a 2-4 year college or university
  • Reside in a participating local Chapter’s geographic area

AXA Achievement Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

  • US citizen or legal resident
  • HS senior; planning to enroll full time in an accredited 2 or 4 year college in the fall
  • Demonstrate ambition & self-drive
  • Recommended by an unrelated adult

Gates Millennium Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

·       High school senior
·        
African American, American Indian Alaska Native,
               Asian Pacific Islander American, or Hispanic American
·        
US citizen, legal permanent resident or US national
·         Entering an accredited US college or university fall ‘09
·        
Cumulative GPA of 3.3/4.0 scale (unweighted)
·        
Federal Pell Grant eligible
·         All required forms completed (3) and submitted

Dell Scholars Program

The Dell Scholars Program places greater emphasis on your determination to succeed than your academic record and test scores. We believe that strong college preparation work empowers you to achieve your dreams.

Studies show that students who participate in college readiness programs in high school are better able to overcome disadvantages and have an increased rate of completing college successfully.

Dell Scholars are students who demonstrate their desire and ability to overcome barriers and to achieve their goals.

Your application will be evaluated on your: Individual determination to succeed; Future goals and plans to acheive them; Ability to communicate the hardships you have overcome or currently face; Self motivation in completing challenging coursework; and Demonstrated need for financial assistance.
